Lists of available extensions

Generic, geographical or sectoral extensions, choose from a list of more than 1500 extensions for your domain name.

How to choose your domain extension?

In a market where every detail counts, a company that launches its site often begins by defining its ambition: to sell locally, open up internationally or strengthen its brand. In this logic, the extension becomes a clear signal, because an address in .com, .fr or .io does not send the same message to customers or partners.

Registration conditions vary by extension but most apply the “First come, first served” rule.

We can now classify extensions into 3 categories:

Why reserve multiple extensions for a domain name?

Buying several extensions for the same domain name (for example, reserve monentreprise.fr, monentreprise.com and monentreprise.net) is a very common practice.

This is not to create different sites, but for several very specific strategic reasons.

  • Protect your brand
  • Avoid the risk of confusion
  • Control your geographical expansion

For SEO, Google and other search engines treat all generic extensions in the same way: having a .com, .tech, or .shop does not offer any bonus or direct algorithmic malus. On the other hand, the choice of extension plays a crucial role on two indirect levers: geolocation and user confidence.

If you target a strictly local or national audience, absolutely favor a national extension (ccTLD) such as .fr for France or .be for Belgium, because search engines naturally favor these extensions for the queries of Internet users in these countries. For international visibility, .com remains the reference.

Finally, keep in mind that human behavior influences SEO: a familiar and memorable extension generates a better click-through rate (CTR) and reassures Internet users, which sends positive signals to algorithms and indirectly improves your positioning.

To check the availability of a domain name extension, simply go to our search banner and type the desired name in their search bar. The tool will instantly query the official registers (such as AFNIC for .fr) to tell you in real time whether the extension is free or already reserved. If the domain is available, it is strongly recommended to book it immediately because the “first come, first served” rule applies to most extensions.
